VINIRMA Consulting is currently looking Information Security Officer for one of our clients which is a leading Bank in Qatar with the following skill set and terms and conditions.

Skill set required:
• Must have 3-4 years of experience in information systems security.
• Must have a sound technical knowledge of WAN/ Communication systems.
• Must have knowledge of statutory requirements/international standards and good practices relating to information security.
• Must have understanding of banking business processes.
• Should have a sound technical knowledge of networking, Communication systems.
• Should have experience in information systems security.
• Manage security related Projects.
• Oversee implementation of security processes and serve as the focal point for all information security issues and concerns during implementation phase.
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining Information Security Policies & Procedures.
• Create security awareness by conducting training.

Responsibilities
• Provide direction and support for security implementation
• Support the risk management process by analysing threats to the computing environment.
• Ensure that responsibilities are defined for and that procedures are in effect to promptly detect, investigate, report and resolve IT security incidents.
• Ensure that ongoing information security awareness education and training is provided to all the employees during security project implementation.
• In co-ordination with Internal Audit guidelines, incorporate appropriate procedures in the routine audit checks to verify the compliance to the Information Security Policy and Procedures and detect incidents.
• Analyze Incident reports and take corrective action.
• Conduct Risk assessment for information assets.
• Implement security procedures and configuration as per security policies.
• Receive exception requests from implementation team; discuss with IT Manager. Initiate protective and corrective measures if a security problem is discovered after discussing with IT Manager.
• Prepare Security Procedures for monitoring the common IT infrastructure (e.g., WAN, LAN etc.), including procedures for monitoring and reacting to system security warning messages and reports.
• Ensure that the physical security staffs are adequately trained to meet the information security requirements.
• Provide basic information security training to operations staff in the location from time to time. This responsibility also covers that any new operations staff members be given a security briefing when they join the operations group.
• Responsible for monitoring vendor sites and approved security sites for latest vulnerability listings. This includes the preparation of prioritization plan for implementation of fixes for vulnerabilities that are discovered from time to time.
• Provide monthly reports to the Manager IT during security project.
• Provide a report of Information Security Policy and Procedures violations and IT security incidents as and when they occur, else a clean statement.
• Oversee all information security processes and serve as the focal point for all information security issues and concerns.
• To bring any possible security threats to the notice of IT Manager.
• Monitoring of Applications/Network/Database Logs.

Educational Qualifications
- Graduate
- Certification in BS 7799/BS 25999 standards would be preferred
- Certification/ Training in Networking/ Communications
- CISA/CISSP certifications would be preferred.

Experience required: minimum 3 to 4 Years.

Joining time frame : 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)
